2011 was Turbulent times – – the Conservatives trying to “unite the right” and end Liberal domination of the Government.
- Preston Manning, Reform Party had come out of the West to Ottawa. In Ottawa Reform rebranded, becoming the Canadian Alliance, which became the Conservatives.
- Stephen Harper was elected Federal Conservative leader (2002). The 2004 Election reduced the Liberals to a Minority Government. Harper, determined to oust the Liberals, called snap elections , prorogued Parliament – – only to attain minority Governments in both the 2006 and 2008 Federal Elections.
- GET A LOAD OF THIS: Harper finally obtained majority-government status in the May 2011 Election. Only to be challenged by Brigitte dePape at the reading of the Throne Speech on June 3rd a month later!
- 2015 October – the next Election, Harper was soundly defeated. The Liberals rebounded from third place in the House of Commons with 36 seats to a strong majority government with 184 of the 338 seats in the expanded Commons. The Liberals picked up 148 seats, easily the biggest numerical increase for a Canadian party since Confederation (1867).
- Harper was pro-war (Iraq and Afghanistan), pro-Israel.
- He helped lay the foundations for the abuses of democratic functioning that Trudeau Jr runs amok in.
Thankfully, the Land of Canada makes us STRONG and FREE. We rally together when threats attack:
- Stephen Harper (Conservative) went too far. The Conservatives were stopped.
- Justin Trudeau Jr (Liberal) went too far. Marc Carney continues at high speed. The Liberals will be stopped.

I am guessing that few Canadians who are younger than 40 will know about the massive mobilizations in the USA in 1999. Thousands of Canadians crossed the border to join them. Their grievance was our grievance. A film was made about the nation-wide (USA) insurrection, “Battle in Seattle”. Woody Harrelson was one of the actors.
