- HALIFAX (CP) — The federal government awarded U.S. defence giant Lockheed Martin a long-awaited contract to design its $60-billion fleet of warships despite lingering questions about the selection process and a legal challenge from a rival bidder. ($105 billion total cost, if there are no cost-overruns. With Lockheed Martin you are GUARANTEED to have cost overruns; they milk the cow for as much as they can get, and they are incompetent.)
Julian Assange (Wikileaks) published the American plans for Canada in 2011:
An embassy cable written by US Ambassador David Wilkins the day the Conservatives were first elected in 2006 suggests Harper would be useful in advancing the US agenda for Canada and that giving him ” a success story” like the softwood lumber deal would “shore up” his ability to stay in office without appearing to “sell out to the Americans”. more below under “embassy cable . . .”
Details in those leaked cables, Canada dutifully following the U.S. in overthrowing a duly-elected government in Venezuela, no surprise:
. . . (in its partnership with the U.S.) Canada “engaging more actively in other hemispheric trouble spots such as Venezuela, Colombia, and Cuba.”
More on that below. In the meantime,
Keep this in mind:
IT SEEMS that Canadians are suddenly (Feb 2019) on the hook to spend $105 Billion on warships (details below).
But it’s not sudden. The U.S. Ambassador wrote (2006), the cables published by Julian Assange:
Laying this groundwork would then open the way for progress on cross-border law enforcement initiatives of interest to us, such as enhanced information-sharing, joint maritime operations, . . . (information sharing, Lockheed Martin Corporation at Statistics Canada (the Census Bureau), backdoor entry to data bases, . . . )
– – – – – – – – – – –
“NorthCom” (“Northern Command”) is not us.
EXCERPT:
From 2010-09-13 RCMP identify coup d’etat as threat to Canada, Ottawa Citizen.
“Military historian Edward Luttwak says, “A coup consists of the infiltration of a small, but critical, segment of the state apparatus, which is then used to displace the government from its control of the remainder”, thus, armed force (either military or paramilitary) is not a defining feature of a coup d’état.”
– – – – – – – – – – –
From Wikileaks, the leaked cables, David Emerson, the representative for Canada speaking:
” . . . and are inconsistent with policies to integrate the Canadian and U.S. economies to the maximum extent possible.” (see the Embassy cable below)
SO WE HAVE:
2006- the U.S. AND Canadian plan – – integrate the Canadian and U.S. economies to the maximum extent possible. Lockheed Martin Corp, with its “President of the Americas” had been set up to run the Canadian Census (StatsCan) – – Canadians fought that down (except for the “back-door” access).
2008– refresh your memory, skim this posting. A complete betrayal and consistent with the leaked cable. Canadians will have “inter-operability” and “compatible doctrine” with the U.S.
UNDERSTAND THE PROPAGANDA
I will be appreciative if you can send this posting further . Awareness is important.
I cannot abide:
- $105 Billion for warships
- $60 Billion of which will go to Lockheed Martin Corporation
- corruption, ESPECIALLY in the most superbly corrupt military-industrial-government complex
- Canadians participate in the overthrow of a democratically-elected Government (Venezuela).
I cannot abide what Canada is doing. No more than I could abide the StatsCan contracts to Lockheed Martin Corp – – the American war and surveillance machine.
– – – – – – –
(U.S. propaganda, support for unseating a democratically-elected leader of Venezuela. Venezuela is a major oil producer that is not co-operative with American hegemony.)
The news video shows how the propaganda was constructed. The propaganda or fake news or lies, whatever you want to call it, was then featured by major American and other news outlets. The CBC ran it, but later retracted, in acknowledgement that they were suckered.
I checked out the background on the “St Vincent PM” (Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines). I trust his word, especially when added to the above teleSUR report.

After some Latin American friends insisted that there was much more to the story than the antics at the bridges, I found a few really interesting contradictions
to the international, US campaign to destroy and take over:
The first contains a lot of interesting factual economic history
https://youtu.be/STcepwXxwWA
The second is another, another more popular one:
https://youtu.be/lMeli0BA3UA
and a third rather more vehement tirade
https://youtu.be/Jsci1IJpG5M
at least two of them include Spanish subtitles. I’d be very interested in what Luis F in Brazil and Luis B and Gabriala M from Argentinia may have to say

embassy cable written by US Ambassador David Wilkins, PUBLISHED BY JULIAN ASSANGE (WIKILEAKS), U.S. Plans for Canada
2011-06-07 WikiLeaks : US bid to “shore up” Harper from the day he was elected (2006)
EXCERPTS: (But I recommend: read the full posting. I have excerpted some hot buttons.)
The U.S. Ambassador writes:
The election of a new government, after thirteen years of Liberal rule, presents opportunities for advancing U.S. interests in such areas as law enforcement and continental security, and in developing Canada as a more useful partner in the Hemisphere and around the globe. . . .
Relations with the U.S. will be tricky for Harper, who along with many members of his caucus has an ideological and cultural affinity for America. But as he has done already with many of his core social and fiscal values, he will simply have to sideline this affinity in order to not be painted as “selling out to the Americans” to a skeptical Canadian public. . . .
Another area where the new government will seek engagement will undoubtedly be border security. Finding a few high-profile SPP-type deliverables to improve cross border movement of goods and services would help our image here as well as shore up Harper’s credentials. Laying this groundwork would then open the way for progress on cross-border law enforcement initiatives of interest to us, such as enhanced information-sharing, joint maritime operations, . . .
With regards to our transformational agenda, there will be numerous opportunities for engagement. However, I suggest quietly working such cooperation with the new government through official, non-public channels, and that we focus on a handful of priority areas . . .
“We’re going to be recommending senior level visits and consultations on foreign policy issues to help bring Harper and his new, generally inexperienced team into the fold as more useful partners.
I look forward to helping connect the dots with the new government so we can effectively advance our agenda.”
Here they are quoted discussing International Traffic in Arms Regulations, a US law which proscribes (INSERT: forbids, BY LAW) Canadian dual nationals from some countries from work on the arms deals that comprise 40% of Canadian defense procurement from the US, and the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. . .
(You may remember David Emerson – he was elected as a Liberal in Vancouver; a week later he crossed the floor to become a Conservative cabinet minister. . . read on . . . )
“It would be better, she continued, if we could look at issues as if there were a common border surrounding Canada and the U.S., rather than as an issue caused by the Canadian-U.S. border. Emerson (Canadian) agreed. He said that policies such as the WHTI are a “running sore” in the bilateral relationship and are inconsistent with policies to integrate the Canadian and U.S. economies to the maximum extent possible.”
(Sandra speaking: Lockheed Martin is obviously well integrated, to the tune of $60 Billion plus its other operations in Canada, and through its infiltration into Canadian universities. General Dynamics – – that’s the $15 billion arms deal with the Saudis – – the American supplier is General Dynamics through its Canadian operation. Which reminds me:

Canadians are on the hook to spend $105 Billion on warships
2019-02-22 It’s taboo to talk about Canada’s real corporate scandal, rabble.ca, Matthew Behrens
$60 billion of the $105 goes to Lockheed Martin Corporation. Read the article. Bad enough what Lockheed Martin does in the world, as we’ve detailed before. Matthew Behrens (journalist) updates their criminal record. I don’t know a word that adequately describes them. I believe what goes around comes around – – I think they are going to fry in hell.
We fought down Lockheed Martin on the F-35 stealth bombers – – except that we still contributed a huge chunk of change – the number is in the article. And maybe a small thing – – sticks in my brain: the cost of one helmet for one pilot for the F-35’s was one million dollars. Not to mention the other details of the boondoggle.
Not everyone is aware:
- Americans can’t get rid of Lockheed Martin, even if they know how dirty it is. Once it sets up a manufacturing plant in an electoral district, “the jobs, jobs, jobs”, and the bribes (contributions to political parties) ensure it won’t ever get booted out, no matter how corrupt (and corrupting) it is.
- Jody Raybould-Wilson is our Leader on this file; I have faith that Canadians are going to step in behind her, support her, and DO what we can do, to see that the rot of SNC Lavalin and Lockheed Martin get dumped. Refuse to go to War against Venezuela.
– – – – – – – – – – – –
Armoured vehicles for the Saudis (General Dynamics, LAVs) $15 Billion PLUS
Warships (Lockheed Martin and Ship-building firms) $105 Billion PLUS
Lord knows how much in overruns PLUS
the other costs of further “integrating” the Canadian economy with the American PLUS
the “transformational agenda” named in the leaked diplomatic cable (do the Americans pay for that, or do we? that’s the Propaganda cost. It’s big. Canadians have to learn to love and support war – – oh! quite funny in the leaked cable: we can’t say bad things about the American war machine!) PLUS
a big cut for corruption PLUS
a cut for the banksters (servicing Government Debt on the $105 BILLION plus, plus . . . )
Honey: you’re in lala land, if you think things aren’t going to get a whole lot worse, if we don’t manage to stop $105 Billion for warships, etc. All hands on deck!
Prime Minister Jean Chretien said Canada would not join the Americans in dropping bombs on Iraq in 2003.
The leaked cables of American Ambassador David Wilkins show that the Americans knew Canadians don’t like war – – they had to tiptoe around, and help Harper. They had a “transformational agenda”. Thirteen years later, the American military has so taken over the Canadian military that we can have no independent foreign policy.
So . . . oh yes, we will join the Americans in an overthrow of a duly-elected Government in Venezuela. And we’ll foot the bills for the American Military-Industrial Complex, by buying – – what is it? 15 warships for $105 billion?
Craig searched on-line – – sale of ships. A group of American military surplus ships were available, some millions of dollars each, they sold within days. Not only the Americans sell ships and airplanes and vehicles and nuclear weapons – on-going, all the time. But why not buy these brand new, untested, already problematic Lockheed Martin boondoggles for $105 billion – – as Behrens points out, they’ll last 25 years. And they won’t serve the purpose. That’s a hallmark of Lockheed Martin. They don’t know how to design.
Time to beat down Lockheed Martin Corp again – – read the article and get determined.
I NEVER FORGET THIS:
2014-07-21 A must see: The Business of War: SOFEX – YouTube
the annual Arms Bazaar in Jordan
You know about?:
- our battle to get Lockheed Martin (American Surveillance) out of Statistics Canada (called “Census Bureau” in some other countries).
- the creation of awareness in Saskatchewan over Lockheed Martin’s move into that Province with its drone program (the first drones were for military purposes)
- the challenge through University of Sask Senate and others, of Lockheed Martin’s move into that one University
As you will know from the news,
- the Government of Canada signed on for Venezuela: we will overthrow a democratically-elected head-of-state, and install a “proclaimed” head-of-state. Our soldiers will be “defending Canada“.
Sequentially, on Feb 8:
- the propagandist centrefold in the U of S “On Campus News” – – the Canadian boy who went to Afghanistan to “defend” Canada. Give me a break. And there’s questions regarding who and how the centrefold came to be. 2019-02-08 On Campus News, The Lockheed Martin University
- Not to mention lots of questions regarding the awarding of the contracts for the $105 billion we are to spend on warships.

DECISION: I am going to stop saying “American” or “U.S.” in these matters. Canada is thoroughly taken over. WE are just as culpable as “the Americans” for not holding our Governments to ethical standards of conduct. And for allowing the media (in general) to be an entertainment industry instead of performing its role in creating an informed citizenry.
I do not absolve ourselves of responsibility for media that allows the Government to bring down a democratically-elected government of another country. Or to threaten the use of war, or to use war against the citizens of another country. Especially when it is the resources of that country that are coveted.
I could say: it will be Canada next. But the truth is: it has already been done in Canada.
Why do we bear responsibility? . . . To counter the bullshit fed to us, all we have to do is to create so much traffic among our friends to critical journalism, that the mainstream media is forced closer to the truth. There is competition for viewers (consumers of their product), after all. If alternative media is pulling all the traffic, mainstream media has to participate. We also have letters-to-editors at our disposal. They are very effective, especially in local publications. Speak up, even if only among friends.
UNDERSTAND WHY Canada is doing this war on Venezuela. Julian Assange published answers. The embassy cable isn’t long; put your feet into the Ambassador’s shoes while reading. The “American agenda” would have been so much easier in just this one country, Canada, if Assange had been “disappeared”.

Our defence (so far) against Propaganda is the Internet.
“.. how the world came not just to the brink of madness but to a colossal state of madness, and it was all through messaging.”
(from 2010-03-05 Love, Hate & Propaganda, the art of mass persuasion (WW2) on CBC)
From Democracy Now, shows tearful “false testimony” from a teenage girl under the direction of Hill & Knowlton, a global public relations consulting company.
An interesting clip.

War is very profitable – – for some. It’s disaster, destruction and death for most others. The propaganda, high motivation to throttle the Internet: That now includes Canada.
