We are in a huge race.

The Corporatocracy is coming down fast:

Simultaneously, Citizens are engaged in two necessary realms:

  • DECONSTRUCTION:  standing up and mobilizing
  • RECONSTRUCTION: developing the alternatives to what we have now.  (There’s a huge amount of work that has been on-gong for 20+ years.  Updates, in later postings.)

Standing up and mobilizing

There are LOTS more stories, of course.  The Lockheed Martin “refuseniks” are important because they’re drawing attention to the presence of the US military at a time when the Government is investing heavily in spying and the military.

Audrey Tobias will be attending Janet’s next court appearance in Toronto’s old City Hall, Dec 11, 2013.  In solidarity.  I expect that the Court Room will be as packed as Audrey’s trial.

WHY DO WE MOBILIZE?

IF YOU UNDERSTAND

  • PROPAGANDA
  • THE CREATION OF “ENEMIES”  and
  • HOW EGO WORKS

YOU WILL SEE AN EASY WAY FOR EACH OF US to pitch in:

2013-11-24  Propaganda:  Not the Whole Story, “Muslims @ Michigan State”   (Counter the manipulation.  We cannot make enemies out of other ordinary people.  It only makes it easier for the corporatocracy.)

ARE WE SUCCEEDING?   . . .  YOU BET!

But as noted, we are in a huge race.  It will be us or the Corporatocracy.

. . .   Important wins . . .   for a later posting.

  1. “Environment Canada’s decision is a little unusual given that AquaBounty has come under fire for failing to meet Panamanian environmental regulations.”

The criteria upon which Environment Canada based the decision are of consequence.

Are they a matter of public knowledge?

If not, why not . . .and when will they be?

  2. Many thanks Joe. I will help spread the word.

My take: with the regulatory processes in Canada now “integrated” with the American, the American Corporations can push things through in Canada if they are facing delays in the U.S. system.

Recent Governments in Canada have completely transformed Canadians into lapdogs for American Corporate interests – – not good for Canada, and not good for citizens of the U.S.

    • Democracy has been replaced.

My quandry is what term to use
      in what is being practised.

      Corporatocracy – Corporatism ?????

      …..Joe

  3. Hi Joe,

I decided on “corporatocracy” because the ending of the word speaks to a form of government. And I think that’s what we have now, with remnants of democracy. We are in the last stages of transition.

FURTHER: using the word “Corporatocracy” invites people to contrast with “democracy”. They get it right away. . . .

Democracy WITH “corporatISM” is not the same as
    Democracy REPLACED BY CorporatOCRACY.

-OCRACY: From the meaning “government by a particular sort of people” – – we have that. (Because of the concentration of wealth in the corporations.)

DICTIONARY: “-ocracy” is government by a particular sort of people or according to a particular principle:
    democracy (=government by the people)
meritocracy (=government by people with the most ability)

I also considered “Corporatism”. And think it would be a valid choice. Based on an “ism
    being a “doctrine : theory : religion “.

Some people refer to us as a “Petro-State”. Which is valid, but too narrow. Monsanto has a very large influence.

I just finished watching Salmon Confidentail. It explains a whole lot. (In spite of the fact that sometimes I wish I didn’t know. I say of a disclosure “This is profoundly disturbing”. And then, there is this other “profoundly disturbing”. It is remarkable that the Conservatives won by-elections. Frighteneing really. If you have time, Salmon Confidential is well worth your time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4XpuaZ6WK8
